There is a lot going on.
There is a lot going on at Winter Park Cycles these days, and we just wanted to take a minute to get everyone up to speed.
Our staff rarely changes, but after 7 years we thought it was time to shake things up a bit. It’s a bit bittersweet for us to announce that Darrell and Tic have moved on. Tic is focusing hard on his artwork, and we have a feeling he’s going to be famous someday. If you aren’t familiar with his work, check it out at www.instagram.com/ticbowenart. Darrell can likely be found at B3 Café, right next door, which he and his wife own. Stop in, grab a cup of coffee, and say hi.
Lee Hamilton and Shawn Hebb will be stepping out from the back offices to help with retail sales. Lee has handled our custom builds for the last few years, and will continue with that, but he’s a consumer at heart, and he’s excited to share his product knowledge with you. Shawn will continue to handle our purchasing and receiving, and he’s been on the retail front in the past, so he should fit right in. Both Lee and Shawn are “newest, latest, greatest” guys, so be prepared to feel some excitement!
We are pretty darn excited to have Will Willis and Andrew Axmacher back to help on the sales floor. We lost Will to our friends at David’s World Cycles for a bit, but he’s back, with a fresh outlook, and even more knowledge than before. Andrew is taking a hiatus from his cooking career to help us out, as well. His eye for presentation and merchandising, as well as his fluency in Spanish, will be a huge help.
Along with the new faces, we’ve been revamping the store. Don’t worry, that same comfortable feel is still there, but we’ve updated our lighting and we’ve reorganized a lot of the product displays. We still have a lot of stuff, but with some creativity, we’ve managed to make it much easier to shop. It also looks like we will be expanding and almost doubling our retail floor space. Stay tuned . . . .
We are excited to announce the 3014 Club. It’s our street address, and it starts with cool clothing. We’ve got fantastic new kits arriving in a few weeks. Great designs on great fabrics from our friends at Capo. It’s pretty simple: Buy the kit and you are a member. Super easy. For the next year, you’ll get 15% off everything we sell, 25% off any other 3014 apparel, advance notice of sales (before the commoners find out), and you’ll get invites to 3014 Club Rides and Events.
We’ll be posting more information here and through our email list, but if you want to see the kits, check them out here: www.WPC.bike/3014-club.html
We’ve been clearing out a lot of old product to make room new stuff. New 2018 stuff is already arriving from Pinarello, Cervelo, Colnago, and Assos, with other stuff slated to arrive in the next month. 2018 is here.
